| You know, I waited until I was 50 to start this project and it took almost a year to complete. It has been more work than I ever imagined but when all is said and done, it was well worth it. I have spent most of my life playing music and now finally have something to show that I was actually here and contributed something musically. There are a lot of people to thank, some who were directly involved and others who were indirectly involved. First of all I would like to thank God for the talent to play an instrument and sing a little. I would like to thank my Mom for that first Gibson SG back in 1966 and for her patience for listening to me play those same three chords at ear splitting volume for months on end. Thanks to my wife Deborah for all those nights alone while I was out working clubs, for trusting me and always being there for me. Thanks to my son Wyatt, who is my life, my inspiration, my everything and who is also working on being a pretty good piano player. Thanks to Dave, Carolyn and Ernest for opening their home and just kind of letting me have the run of the place. Thanks to Dave Preston (The Mixmaster) for being perhaps the most accommodating person I’ve ever worked with, going above and beyond more times than I can count. Ron Clausnitzer for the ears, Skip Milos for the web design and graphics and John Buscarino for the best guitars on the planet. Thanks to all my musician friends who contributed, Tim “Rufus” McCoy, Steve Boisen, Colin Fewkes, Joey Arata, Cindy Terrio, Cindy Nelson, Sandy Brown, Debbie Brown, Debbie (Giggles) Combs and Wyatt (Little Fingers) Combs. If I make a million dollars on this project that would be great. If I cover the cost of this project, that would be great. If I sell a few copies at my gigs that would be great. If I just have something to show that I was once here, that's enough. |
